About
We don't make loungewear.
We don't believe in clothes you save.
The good ones are the ones you live in.
Worn to work, worn home, kept on.
Always moving, never rushed.
Two of us
ROBA LUCA is two people from Roeselare, Belgium, a brother and a sister. Camille draws every piece, from the first sketch to the last seam. Lucas builds everything around them: the label on the inside, the boxes, this page.
We started with clothes we wanted and could not find. Something you put on at seven in the morning and are still wearing at nine at night, without having thought about it in between. It took nine pieces to work that out. It will take a few more.
How a piece gets made
Every piece starts as a drawing on a table. Then a pattern, then a sample, then a fitting, and usually a second sample. Fabric comes first: what a piece is made of, and what it weighs, is on its product page, because that is the closest thing to holding it.
We made one run of this first collection, and it is small. Small enough that we know where all of it is. When a size is gone, it is gone.
There was a tenth piece, a scarf. We cut it in May to keep the run small, and it is the only one I would put back.
What stays the same
Your size stays your size. Across the collection, and next season too. The patterns do not change between collections, so the size you took once is the size you take again.
Everything else keeps moving, one collection at a time. The next pieces are on the table now.
That is about it. If you are wondering which piece to start with, or which size, write to us at hello@robaluca.com. One of us answers, within a business day.
